Bumble’s mission has always been to foster healthy and equitable relationships through kind connections—and that isn’t limited to dating. Platonic relationships deserve just as much cultivation and celebration as romantic ones. That’s why, in 2023, we transformed our friend-finding mode, Bumble BFF, into its own standalone app, Bumble For Friends.
Bumble For Friends began to resonate with our community right away—so much so that it’s managed to win a prestigious industry award in just a few short months. The Bumble For Friends app has won Google Play’s Users’ Choice Award in the category Best for Fun across the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, and Australia.
This accolade was the result of consumer votes, which holds special significance to us as it’s a testament to the impact Bumble For Friends is having at a time when loneliness and isolation have reached epidemic levels. Our community is looking to Bumble For Friends as they actively grow their circle, often seeking out friends at a similar life stage, be they new to town, graduating from school, working from home, or becoming a parent, for example.
In the coming months we’ll be focused on refining Bumble For Friends following feedback from our members—and on introducing new features to help bring our community together IRL.
